Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.01:12 01.05.16 | 4 comments
Israeli "war crimes"? Any government involved in war is going to see individual soldiers intentionally commit war crimes. That is quite different than a policy of war crimes. Israel has no such policy. They warn the enemy when they are coming so that "innocents" can leave before violence begins. If the Pals would stop using "innocents" as human shields they would have nothing to complain about. You want to talk about war crimes? Tell me how it is no crime to target families asleep in their homes to massacre even babies, or laser targeting school buses, or blowing up restaurants with patrons inside, or sending over 8000 rockets/bombs into civilian centers in a ten year period. Yes Palestinians hands are filthy with war crimes. My eyes are wide open. I see clearly. My conscience is clear.
