Governors Christie, Bush and Kasich band together to stay in the race by drawing blood from the frontrunners.10:18 07.02.16 | 0 comments
I have one disagreement with this article. With every Presidential election, the U.S. has been saying what Lieberman has been saying about leadeing. We just market it differently. Because we are so addicted to prosperity and flattery, we fail to see the expression "leader of the free world" as the oxymoron it is. Leaders seek subjects, those who are free are self-directed. And yet, because of our addiction to prosperity, the first job of the "leader of the free world" is to protect prosperity, not freedoms or democracy. And because we think of ourselves as being so special, we take it upon ourselves to protect, and thus lead others. For a while now, leading, or should we say authoritarianism, has been on the rise throughout the world. And 9-11 certainly gave it a marketing makeover in the West. The only way to motivate people to rise up and stop it is to teach them that history is more important than prosperity.
