"How does this compare to a man like George Bush who kills hundreds of thousands of innocent people simply for his own glory and the profit of his friends?" George Bush is no better than Saddam, the only difference being is he sends his troops overseas to do the killing rather than his own people. "Saddam`s trial(s) were timed to influence the US elections." How true, for the whole war with Iraq had nothing to do with Saddam, WMD or the massacres within Iraq. It was to boost Bush's popularity. As everyone knows, war breeds patriotism which results in "the rallying of the populous around the government". Especially when its tied in to "defending our homeland". "Sure, and the outcome would have been the same." Actually, no, the outcome would not have been the same. Saddam would have been found guilty, but he would not have been hung with the executioners chanting political slogans and thus inflaming the whole Iraq situation.
