1. The Knesset, per se, cannot be PERMANENTLY rendered "irrelevant"--inasmuch as it is one of the three bodies of the Israeli democracy (unless "democracy" per se disappears). 2. Individual Knesset members sometimes ACT as if the Knesset's actions were irrelevant--but that is one of the "inconveniences" of the democratic model. At "any given point in TIME" the Knesset may BE irrelevant--but (a) that will be corrected by the voters, or (b) the country will go down the tubes.
