Dear Mark, your thoughts are very clear on the subject of the "doctrine of containment". I bet every SOBER and godly scientist who loves peace and life (which are God's first doctrine given to mankind), would forcibly agree with the last part of your statement, even more so than with the first part. Yes, the State of Israel is being protected for a long time both by the Almighty God who loves His living creation and by the big powers which faithfully ENFORCE the prevailing doctrine of containment! It is indeed perplexing to even conceive of an idea of CONTEMPT towards the big powers' doctrine by a little MD bully in Teheran, let alone to allow him to get nukes in his military arsenal! As you said, if they bomb each other's churches it is SAFE to PRESUME that they will nuke some other churches in their region and beyond! This is wisdom: to apprehend the evil BEFORE its eggs are nested in broad day light...and before the whole world to see it! Clearly, Iran is in big apocaliptic trouble!

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
