Wissam :- Your lack of military/diplomatic understanding is astounding .. Firstly.. it was Syria who tried initially to "steal" Israel.. so when a thief gets caught.. they pay the consequences. Secondly.. Do you honestly think that if Israel wanted to they couldnt lay waste to Gaza and Hamas.. Syria has tried your tactics before.. all without any success and when Russia was sponsoring arms to Syria at a much higher rate than it is now. Syria's defence pact with Iran... I think this will be of questionable value in an all out conflict.. I doubt Iran will launch missiles from its soil and without air transport to land these missiles in Syria .. getting arms to Syria will be a trickle. Syria hasnt been involved in a war for a while now.. I dont think that the population of Syria will hold out too long.. if the bombing campaigns are similar to those in Lebanon. With Syria on the defensive (after a possible offensive) .. weapons and logistical support to Hizbollah too will diminish.
