ramzi, - in spite of the many genuinely good ideas you've got reg. this conflict you often put an undue emphasis on religion, almost as if there was no other way to define somebody & as if the issues were all about religious freedom. furthermore, on this issue of the "jewish state" you're completely misplaced somewhere in a dark unreal hole. please realize we're talking about e-t-h-n-i-c-i-t-y here (look the word up, it's not race & it's not religion, although it may be closely tied to religion). this is basic & unless you've understood this everything else gets wrong. jews & arabs are not the same ethnic group, nor are kurds, armenians /kurds. in europe many ethnic groups established their own national states on the basis of the principle of self-determintaion (of an ethnic group), so they could have political sovereignty. most of these have minorities, sometimes indigenous ones, & it's completely compatible w/democracy & has nothing to do w/religious freedom.
