Lets put it this way, if the Lebanese government doesn't disarm Hezbollah and Israel is provoked into another war the bombings won't be limited to the south Beirut and the rest of the country will be considered legitimate targets because the government will be held responsible. Also Hezbollah didn't win in 2006 Israeli politicians lost it. Olmert tried to micromanage the war, Dan Halutz refused to give the officers on the ground more infantry because he was convinced air power alone would win the war. Thanks to over a decade of budget cuts the IDF didn't have the hardware it needed and last but not least Olmert was taking the attitude of reasonable force. If Bibi is PM and Hezbollah start a war it will be gloves off time and the outcome will be very different this time Nassrallah won't be boasting.
