The idea that a duly elected MK can not be a Minister simply because they are Arab is racist and there are no excuses. What seems interesting is the comments seem to be condemmed by most posters from Israel, but defended by those who have a vision of a "pure" Jewish state but are living in the US. Israel can be a democratic state with a Jewish majority poulation and a mainly Jewish culture but a large Arab minority within the state. OR Israel can be a purely Jewish theocratic state which either has a second class apartheid treated Arab minority or a purely Jewish state through expulsion or genocide of the Arab minority. I think the majority of citizens of Israel support the first but it seems some of the Jewish population of the US support the second, of course they will not be at risk from the consequences.
