and try Britain, far more racist than Israel despite the muti cultural citizenry. In Africa there is racism by Africans towards other African tribal groups and clans. Next in line would be religious racism. As to south Tel Aviv, does the author of this article live there??? You could not recognize the neighbourhood, it is no longer Israeli, and the facts of violence there is a fact, not a rumour. The locals there are now a minority and "fear" is pretty human. This is not about the colour of ones skin, we see the same struggle when the haredim take over secular neighbourhood, but about a lost neighbourhood and the violence taking place. It is not just a hundred people we are taking about but thousands changing forever the neighbourhood, and not for good. Racism by the way is not right wing or Left wing, it just is and it can have nothing to do with colour, , it can be cultural, tribal, and motivated by ignorance, or hate, or greed. All countries of all colors are plagued by it.
