The school demands its students and their families show a commitment to the way of life they stand for. If the parents reject these values then they can send their children to another school that doesn't teach these values. How can parents seek a school that clearly teaches this interpretation of the Torah and then act outraged by it? Someone is very confused. But the weirdest thing about this article is how some idiot tries to wrap up this obvious conflict of values in an accusation of discrimination against sephardim(???)! Is Israel trying to imitate the tabloid, sensationalist journalism of the Brits? It is a totally illogical leap of reason and seems designed to merely incite resentment and anger at the religious community (let alone the inference that such values are as backward as the Taliban). Disgraceful, shameful, pathetic and one could even argue anti-semitic! This is a symptom of the malaise within Israeli society that is destroying it better than any scud missile from Iran.
