his pespective on the situation was that of a tactician and not of a statesman, which hasbeen the problem of most israeli prime ministers. he never seemed ot look at the big picture but was constantly looking to deal with the next couple of years. no long term outllok at demographics and at the terrible strain the settlements were putting on israel's economy and social situation as well as of the lawlessness of teh radical settlers for whom he had no plan on how to deal with. he was a typical general with no vision, only maps.
