I went to the Rabin rally the first year after it happened and for the next 4 years until I looked around. There were no other kippas...but much much more importantly, there were more flags of Che Guevara than of Israel. I had no religious values in common with these people...but I also had no national, social or moral values in common. As much as I wanted to memorialize Rabin, these people had less to do with his legacy than I did...so i stopped going.
