But it’s a well-accepted social convention.” That sounds dangerous to me, a Rabbi invoking social convention to accept certain behavior. The world gets into trouble like that on a daily basis. It is in our People's history too. It sounds to easy. I thought it wasn't supposed to be easy to be a Jew.
