R Harris, you wrongly accuse me of "diverting the argument to another country", whereas that is exacly what YOU do. I relate to Holland because Leo (the person I reacted to) lives there. In contrast with the people in Israel, Leo is NOT compelled to serve in the army to defend his country and protect his fellow countrymen. Yet, and perhaps because of this, Holland and many other European countries do not have a clue how to effectively relate to the growing threat posed by Arab and Muslim fundamentalism. The same brutal fundmentalism, by the way, which ALL minorities in the Middle East, the Jews among them, have faced for hundreds of years. Any coincidence there? Hardly. R Harris, if you focus on the Jews and Israel you will lose sight of the bigger Arab and Muslim picture which they (the Jews and Israel) are reacting to. Perhaps you have noticed that the Arab and Muslim world do not present a pretty image. Under those circumstances, I wonder why you should focus on the Jews?
