AS USUAL the IDF spokesman's office HASBARA avoids the issue: On Which SIDE of the Israeli-Lebanese Border did the Incident "Occur"??? §§ In a while UNTSO will release its findings. But since 2006 war UNTSO has a problem. . . UNTSO Patrol Bases (called PBs or earlier OPs) were destroyed partly or entirely in the 2006 "Second Lebanon War". §§ On July 25th, 2006 the Israeli AF bombed PB KHIAM, after Israeli artillery fired 155mm shells on it for nearly 7 hours. A JDAM laser-guided bomb killed 4 U.N. unarmed Observers, who sought refuge in the PB shelter. An Austrian major, a Canadian major, a Chinese major and a Finnish Captain. §§ KHIAM PB was never rebuilt. Also MAR PB and RAS PB were hit. The U.N. decided to remove its UNTSO observers from the immediate vicinity of the border. §§ Now the big Q is: What were Israeli soldiers doing inside Lebanon? Were they sent to provoke further incidents?
