True, there was a Hasmonean mini-kingdom between 134-66 BCE, called JUdaea. At no point in time did Jews rule all over the territory west of the Jordan, and there is no material proof to support any such notion. The term "Eretz Yisrael" was coined after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 CE. It is not a known and a legitimate geopolitical entity in the Ancient Near East. As far as the Israelites are concerned- these were Baal/Ashera-worshippin Canaanites. The pseudo historical baggage that the Jews have been carrying for millennia has been ab obstacle to reaching a reasonable both sides can live with.agreement.
