So why don't we just abolish the law in its entirety and let vigilantes "establish" the precedents instead? (sorry, we already do it, de facto.) Let the mob decide who is a "true Israeli" and who is not. Give sub-Israelis all the grounds they need to claim political asylum somewhere else, which, I bet, a lot of super-Israelis would welcome. There are many terms already to describe this particular social dynamic and none of them are pleasant. But if that's what people want, it's not necessarily wrong, judging by this article. Pity we have laws, Mr Writer, where the standards of right and wrong are already defined. But not to worry, we'll just ignore them, as usual. Maybe if we tried enforcing the laws - across board, not just racial laws - a different society would have emerged.
