Assad and his police state and security services and repressive regime is a cruel, brutal and efficient force. It will not be possible to bring it down with "one big blow". And it will not be like the "Tahrir-revolution". The protesters need a lot of stamina and patience, courage and determination. This could be maybe be called the beginning of the "revolution of attrition".
