As I am sure the author has been informed, unfortunately after publishing this piece, the yellow flower used during the commemorations is not strictly a logo. The yellow narcissus was chosen because (as explained in Polish press) the ghetto resistance hero Marek Edelman, a venerated figure in Poland, who died last year, would get a bouquet of them on every uprising anniversary, from an unknwn sender, and would place the bouquet at the ghetto uprising heroes' memorial. During this year's commemorations, the yellow narcissus designed in paper is being distributed to the public by hunderds of volunteers. One can pin this flower to a coat, similar to the red poppy of the British for their memorial day (end of 1st World War. The flower , because of its color and shape symbolizes the yellow star. It also is a beautiful way to link the 70th annivarsary of the ghetto uprising to the famous hero, Marek Edelman.
