So Britain sees progress on the Palestinian quest for statehood as "damage"? What is the sense of reinforcing Abass' position if Israel has already said that they will undermine the PA and possibly expel Abass? As for fear of legal problems in courts and other organs of the UN, what's the problem? As the only democracy in the middle east and with total immunity from international law, Israel can simply ignore any bothersome rulings. What was the final outcome regarding the ruling against Israel on the wall? Who will enforce these rulings? Maybe the world population will think Israel is a pariah. Their leaders will still swallow anything.
