Israeli right-wing government fumes, but has to swallow its rage as it depends on the USA regarding Iran. The Arab League can for the first time in its indecorous history claim to have achieved something, and the Arab ego and Arab street can finally say they have created the Palestinian state, while continuing to scapegoat and bash Israel for all their woes. Turkey continues to bash Israel for Gaza, trying to take some credit away from the Arab League. Iran and the USA slowly reapproach, lessening the influence of the most extreme hard-liners in Iran, as more pragmatic fanatics start to emerge with a slightly less lunatic speech and shade of green. The EU is divided, finally recognizes the Palestinian state in a burocratic way, riding the global wave of enthusiasm. Settlers set olive groves and mosques ablaze, Israel tries all it can to prevent them from doing so and arrest them. Hamas, completely out of any celebration, starts shooting and killing Israeli civilians, while Nasrallah follows the Iranian instruction not to derail but to use the new Palestinian state in a careful penetration: a cold, underwater war intensifies between Shin Bet and Iranian penetration via Hezbollah in the West Bank, -I mean- in Palestine. China, Russia, India, Brazil and the non-alligned states recognize Palestine too. Obama looses the november elections, but he has done his pledge of creating a (paper) Palestinian state. A third intifada breaks out to celebrate the Palestinian state murdering Israelis. Ashton delivers a speech and calls for "restraint", Ban Ki Moon talks about his "dismay", and Obama says he is "shocked". Syria laughs, Iran weaves its net further, and the same Middle East continues to be the old shesh-besh.
