The tragic outcome of Assad's intense two-year long homicidal rage episode in Syria surpasses most of the tragic mass killing of innocent people we are witnessing in Mali and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As an Israeli living within earshot of the Syrian tragedy, I can only say that this is an unbearable experience. My heart goes out to the suffering People of Syria. Hopefully the UN will respond to Assad's obvious mental condition by proposing psychiatric treatment to without any further delay. History is replete with insane national leaders.
