I'm surprised that someone as smart as Mr. Dershowitz doesn’t make the simple distinction between persons who oppose the policies of this or that government and those who are blindly or blatantly anti-Israel. Mr. D, was an Israeli who opposed the policies of the Bush administration actually anti-American? Obviously not. Equally true that anyone who opposes the Republican administration of Bibi in Israel is not necessarily anti-Israel. I can love the US, and hate the policies of their elected administration. I can hate the policies of an Israeli government and love Israel. Please understand that. This dichotomy has been in question since the 1977 break of Mapai control of governments in Israel. I remember American Jews asking me what can they do. They wanted to continue supporting Israel, but couldn’t fall into line with Begin. So, let’s grow up and have a broader understanding of world issues.
