I believe he is actually encouraging the Palestinians not to pursue the Goldstone Report, and the Israeli government will look upon the Palestinian question fairly. The fact is the Goldstone genie is out of the bottle and it will be incredibly hard for western governments to put it back in the bottle. It is no longer just down to the Palestinians to bury The Goldstone report, it is down to the United Nations, and more importantly the American Veto. Which might be neutralised if China doesn't veto sanctions against Iran. Interesting times.
