Zionism really got going in the years after WWI. Does Mr. Levy hold that Zionist pursuit of a "national home" and a communal soveriegnty in the land of Israel/Palestine during those years to have been morally wrong and unjustified? Were the Palestinian nationalists justified in organizing a pogrom against their neighbors in Hebron in 1929 as their main tactic in their war against Zionism? And is it then not the case that the Zionist movement has been fundamentally engaged in a war of self-defense against Palestinian nationalists often allied with Nazi ideology ever since? That at the very least criticism of how Israel conducts itself must be matched with criticism with how Palestine conducts itself.
