Development of the Qassam rockets must be examined independently from Hamas-related issues. Israel is right in not negotiating with Hamas which is a religiously based organization and its leader is a fanatic muslim (the same level of fanaticism as Bibi, if you ask me, but this is another matter). Qassam rockets are weapons developed by Palestinian people for military purposes (in conjunction with Hamas but not always) and they thave the right to develop conventional weapons just like any other people. Israel attcked Gaza many times with rockets, so why should not the Palestinians have the same right of developing rockets and using them ? There is an effort to increase the aerodynamic and detonation properties of Qassams in Palestine and elsewhere and these efforts are as legitimate as Israeli Defense Industries' development of weapons. Why not ?
