    Unfortunately, I also agree with the previous poster. As an American first and foremost, and being a decendant of Arab origins, with my loyalty only to the United States, and despise the Arab political culture with passion, it is impossible to write off Damascus's geopolitical importance and the Role Damascus plays. I truly believe, that our American interests can be better served through regimes like the one in Syria, not a bunch of gragmented and myopic oil sheikhdoms, who are are monkeys in tuxedos.
