The Israeli leaders have a responsibility to protect and defend its borders and citizens. After years of unprovoked attacks by hezbollah terrorists, even after agreeing to a UN brokered peace agreement to leave Lebanon in exchange for the disarmament of hezbollah with UN forces securing the borders, they've finally decided to take action. If the Israeli leaders didn't learn from this the folly of trusting the UN to keep its word or the relentless determination of their enemy to destroy them, it would be the height of irresponsibility on their part. Can anyone tell me how you deal with an enemy who delights in murdering his own child just to see you dead??? Israel doesn't need any direction or permission from the US or anybody else to defend itself!
