I am a Shia Muslim Iranian, who loves Islam and Judaism and, sometimes, even Christianity. My favorite Jewish quote is from a rabbi hillel, who lived in Persian-controlled babylonia: "That which is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. That is the whole Torah; the rest is commentary. Go and study it." It is ok to defend yourself, but it is clear to everyone in the world (except you) that your generals care very little about killing your Lebanese neighbors. Next time the cycle of killing innocent people comes back around to you, then remember that you contributed greatly to this hateful method of fighting. Hillel also said "If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? But if I am only for myself, then what am I?" Yes, what is Israel, if it acts as if the life and rights of everyone else is meaningless? Is this what you learning during your centuries living with Christian pogroms and genocide, to be like them?
