"...the occupation that has destroyed our society's ethical backbone and has turned us into a pariah among the cultured nations..." It's more the lies, divisiveness and innuendo from Prof Strenger's crowd. Israel was hated for existing, long before the occupation. "Orlev...considers mentioning the suffering the Jews caused the Palestinians to be a catastrophe. The humanity of those outside the tribe is irrelevant when it does not suit the tribe's religious beliefs." Wow, what slander from Strenger. Orlev opposes the label "catastrophe," naqba. Of course he acknowledges the suffering & the humanity of Arabs. This is how Israel acquires haters, those who think Strenger is a sincere man. "The first...the liberal-modern tradition. Its worldview is guided by concepts including universal human rights and the rule of law. It considers human life...a universal value." Like atheistic China? Or is that pre-modern? Modern psych draws on same philosophers as 3rd Reich, like Nietzsche.
