the Germans had a big discussion several years back about whether it was possible to say "I am proud to be a German'. They decided that 'no' it was not possible because a person could not be proud of something that he had not achieved. This gives you a double problem. You can't be proud of being born. And you weren't born in Palestine. Oh dear. Maybe just change your name to .. Mike P.S. I can be proud of being Israel though because I immigrated here :-)
