The speech is protected under the First Amendment unless: a) it is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action, or b) it is a threat that a reasonable person would interpret as a real and serious communication of an intent to inflict harm. I don't think either of those are the case here.
