Oren's mutterings are proof, if indeed proof was needed, that Israel has no intentions to achieve any kind of peaceful settlement. Everlasting occupation - it has now lasted more than 40 years with active support from the US and a nudge-nudge, wink-wink from many EU states - allows Israel continued enslavement, invasion, imprisonment, torture and economic dependency of Palestinians. Only an enforced - from the outside - peace or a one-state solution are possible. Maybe the US finally understands how it has been taken advantage of by its "friend".
