    Iran might be, as you say a totalitarian government, but according to a poll taken among Persians worldwide a couple of years ago. 99% said they would not go to war to fight for Islam but would go to war immediately if Iran (Persia) was attacked without question. Persians, men and women are passionate about their homeland and whatever differences they may have heal the moment an outsider attacks them. We are not like Jews or Arabs and if you attack us you will have to bring your soldiers to our shores to fight......I mean Jewish soldiers not ferenghi.
