Is this article written on the anniversary of the Six-Day War in June 1967 by coincidence? I vividly recall listening to Egypt's Nasser's continual daily threats and insults on the radio - to annihilate The State of Israel - made endlessly during early June 1967. This went on for seemingly endless weeks before the Six-Day War began. Tough luck: Nasser did not achieve his wish to kill us all. And despite the Nazi's endless effort to annihilate the Jewish People, a few of us survived the Holocaust - myself included. Yes indeed, we are all profiting from the fact that we are very much alive and have survived two murderous lunatics. If you look northwards to Syria - at this very moment - it requires little imagination to know what our fate would have been had Nasser achieved his goal. The Palestinians know that we will eventually arrive at an equitable modus vivendi with them. We are working energetically towards an acceptable settlement with the Palestinians. Instead of Haggai Matar's pseudo-analytical babble in this oversimplified blurb, let's wait a little longer before we sum up the "occupation" and blame it all on the People of Israel.
