The problem with your position is that if people are educated about the Arab-Israeli conflict, they come to see the injustice that was done to the Palestinians and the legitimacy of the Palestinian claims. So, education actually works against your position. This is not to say that Israel does not have a case, it is just that its case is quite weak and is often undermined by many of the points that Israelis like to make. For example: so what if Israel is a democracy? The US was a democracy when it was segregating African Americans. It was even a democracy when it was exterminating its native population and practicing slavery. Democracy does not inoculate you from being wrong. Besides, Israel is not a liberal democracy, a key element of most Western democracies. When the facts work against you, the best thing to do is change your behavior and comes to terms with the truth. Academics are turning against Israel because most know enough to see through Israel's obfuscations.
