Hamas is visible and investigating is hard. Hamas will be blamed and since the IDF is really indifferent, Gaza's civilian population will pay the price. Plus, the civilian Arab population of the West Bank will probably be locked down. Michael Oren was on CNN this afternoon and to hear him, this bombing came completely out of the blue. There was peace all over Israel and in the territories Palestinians were just fat and happy. Of course, King, whose show he was on, never thought to ask about the kids killed in Gaza by the IDF shelling two days ago or the dozens others killed or wounded by the Tit for Tat of the past two weeks. You could tell that Oren was prepared for a question about that. But it never occurred for a CNN reporter to raise a question about the context of anything. That would require awareness and maybe even reporting and research.
