Come on - who really thinks Israel and the Palestinians will ever come to an agreement on their own? Who thinks that one side will ever say, "Ok, now that you say it that way, I see your point!" It's not going to happen. This is why there are such things as tribunals. The whole idea is: get someone else, a neutral third party, to settle the dispute, because we're obviously not neutral ourselves. The only reason why anyone would not want an imposed settlement here would be because they don't want justice. Because let's face it, without justice, the strong win and the weak lose. An imposed settlement is the only way. If Israel thinks that no one will give them a fair deal, then what does that say? That the whole world is anti-Israel? It's not. I feel sorry for Israel, because it staked too much on the old idea that might makes right. But times are changing. If you want justice, you have to submit to justice. Ironic, I know, coming from an American. But there it is.
