The 2 attempts in the last week - this article and the one by Glick a week ago - are perhaps a journalistically understandable attempt by a Jewish newspaper to adjust the balance after a series of anti-circ articles in recent months. But all they serve to do is expose the weakness of all pro-circumcision arguments. It's telling that the writers do not even dare to attempt a religious defence, but they're seriously mistaken to think that their attempts to use 'science' are any more convincing. It's extraordinary that they can't see this. Or perhaps they are fully aware. Either way, the game is up. We know better. Any culture that systematically mutilates its children has a fatal weakness at its heart. Judaism is no exception. Many Jews already know this, and their number is growing. Judaism will evolve and be much stronger as a result.
