I have to say that I really couldn't imagine a palestinian state developping in the next two years either. Even were Hamas and Fatah to reconcile, they have so much extremism. Not to mention the lack of local economy, health system, education, jobless rate, etc. I honestly do not believe that they can build an independent society in the next two years. All that aside, as long as corruption is as rampant as it is, it will be virtually impossible to build anything up. Let's not forget the billions in aid which have been given to the PA. Or it's half a billion dollar security budget dating back ten years. Until that money is used to build up a society, how can it function as an independent state?
