Everyone is entitled to repent of sin and be forgiven. However, key to repentence is turning from sin and changing not only your words but your deeds. Time will tell if President Carter repented of his sins against Israel or if it is only cheat talk. Pres. Carter has the rest of his life to prove he recognizes his past sins and has truly repented. All he has to do is to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. In the past, he has acted as if the Jews started the war and sought to drive the arabs into the sea instead of the other way around. He needs to publicly recognize that the Israelis have always been the ones seeking peace and have always sought to minimize civilian collateral damage while the arab terrorist, who have sought to inflict civilian caualties, have been supported financially, philosophically and religiously by the "arab street" and society. The arabs are taught to hate and to kill in their schools while Israelis seek peaceful conflict resolution.
