No doubt, the individual is not responsible for what such people say, but this rabbi gives an impression, that there are often real origins for the spread of some prejudices. It is totally wrong to identify Jews individually with this opinion, but since these opinions are based on jewish religious interpretations of texts, which are considered there wholy fundament, it makes clear, that also the prejudices against Jews have some realistic origin. I am sorry for the many people, for the many Jews, that do not agree and I am totally aware, that this is not mainstream, but there should be a real critical and open debate about jewish fundamentalism and the dark side of it, which judaism has, just like others too. It is shocking that people like rabbi Yosef or like Avraham Hecht in New York who declared Rabin as Din Rodef have highest positions in the religious establishment, either in the US or in Israel. But I wonder if Israel has not avoided this far to long.
