So, by my figures based upon your figures, and granting that the Soviets may have killed up to 1/4 of a million, the number goes from 6 million to 5.5 million. For this you'd have an academic conference? Does this somehow negate any of the central elements of the Holocaust. Is there any sort of significant fdifference in the meaning or reality of the Holocaust if the number was only 5.5 nillion? Face it, only some one with an ax to grind would bother to make a point about it. Why not question the figure that 100 million people dies due to war in teh 20th century. Or the 3 million Cambodians died in the 70's. Nobody would seriously claim that the number 6 million is an exact figure. How off does it need to be before it becomes worthy of serious global academic discussion.
