Barel rightly indicates that there is possible horrific consequences of a US attack on Iran. And he has only given a short list. What about a missile attack on Israel from Iran? or from Syria? But there are also horrific possible consequences of US action? Among these are the end of all non- proliferation agreements, the further destabilizing of the Middle east? the whole area having to live under thre threat of a nuclear Iran? For Israel the greatest threat is that a nuclear Iran might use nuclear weapons against it to destroy it.Another consequence of a nuclear Iran is the loss of US power and prestige in the area. Myown sense is that the US will come to think the dangers of inaction, greater than those of action.
