Claims of huge missile stockpiles is often hinted as well by Hizballah, Syria, and Iran. Both sides may or may not be saying the truth, there is no way of knowing until they come to blows. The only thing I am sure of is that politicians never willingly volunteer information or even talk about top of mind issues. In the case of the military preparedness of Hizballah & friends, let us not forget that both they and Israel have an interest in exagerating these claims far beyond reality, though they do that for opposite reasons, The Israeli government wants to show that it is in existential danger, as it always reminds us. Hizbollah et. al. need to gain domestically in grassroot support, and talking tough helps tremendously and may perhaps freighten Israel into staying put. So there is no way of knowing and no gain in trying to find out.

Sanctions did not devastate South Africa or Iran. Nor will they destroy Israel; above all it will extricate Israel from a trap it is unable to get out of by itself.
