Not really. I can imagine the pressure from Washington on the selection process to avoid favoring either documentary. After all Obama is scheduled to visit Israel next month. His responsibility to Israel is to maintain the status quo of the occupation---hasn't this been U.S. policy since 1967? The Israeli documentaries are a very strong factual statement highlighting to the Israeli public and to the world what Israel has become.
