1. Most Jews are pragmatists. 2. When Nixon was having trouble with the USSR, he improved relations with China. 3. Though it is hard to believe, Israel's Jews are having trouble identifying which branch of the Palestinian government can deliver peace. 4. The solution is to improve relations with both factions and await the inevitable dominance of the one which has military power, and internal discipline, for that is the one which will eventually prevail. 5. A de facto peace is better than a war.
