The accord will make Hamas more cautious and accountable, as any violence perpetrated against Israel by Hams-associated members will now endanger the entire Palestinian national project, and not just their enclave in Gaza. The West Bank has been making seriuous progress in the last few years, espeically in the economic realm. Great anger will be directed against Hamas should they cause a regression in the Palestinian situation. Netanyahu is obviously looking at this through his ideological prism. He is either reacting in a knee-jerk manner aginst any involvement of Hamas (understandable to a certain extent but reminiscent of failed anti-PLO policy), or utterly petrified since this will potenitally force him to make concessions against his paradigm. We are in for interesting developments.
