Iran defeated the American and European backed Saddam Hussien. It has with stood and even grown under decades long American sanctions. Most importantly it can strike every single inch of Israel many times over. While the ancient civilization of Iran has never been disbanded, Israel has been disbanded before and can easily be defeated again. However war is not the right response. Iran unlike Israelis has not colonized any foreign nations, does not have an apartheid government (Iranian Jews in Iran have more rights than Arab Israelis or the terrorized Palestinians). While Iran's leader talks alot of crazy non sense it does not practice state terrorism as often as Israel (Israel does it daily against the indeginious Palestinian population while Iran terrorizes its own people on a weekly basis). Don't forget the Iranians saved the Jews once from massacre (the children of Esther) and once from slavery (Cyrus the Great).
